Draft wording for RAO to confirm. Not yet approved.
Privacy notice: RAO network registration
How RAO Global uses the details you give when you register for early access to the RAO network app, which launches in early 2027.
Who is responsible for your data
RAO Global is the data controller for the details you provide on this form. [RAO to add: legal entity name, company number, registered address and a contact email for privacy questions.]
What we collect
Your name, work email, mobile number, job title, seniority, company name and address, how you take part (asset owner, fund manager or service provider), and the answers you give in your matching profile. Some answers, such as assets under management, are confidential: we use them for matching only and never show them to other members.
Why we use it
- To set up your RAO network profile, and invite you to the app when it launches.
- To suggest introductions to relevant members in the app.
We rely on the consent you give when you register. [RAO to confirm the lawful basis.]
Emails about your registration
If your profile isn’t finished, we email you a link to finish it and then a reminder once a week, no more than 12 times. We also confirm when your profile is complete, and when your details have been deleted. Every email includes a link to delete your details.
Who can see it
Only RAO staff who run the network. Confidential answers are never shared with other members. We don’t sell your data.
We use trusted service providers to run this form: Vercel (website hosting), Supabase (database, stored in the EU) and Resend (email delivery). They act only on our instructions. Where your data is processed outside the UK or EEA, it is protected by appropriate safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep it
We keep your details while you are a member of the RAO network, [or until X months after the app launches if you don’t join it]. If you don’t finish your profile, we stop sending reminders after 12 weeks. [RAO to confirm.]
Your rights
You can update or delete your details at any time using the link in any email we send you, or by contacting RAO at [privacy contact email]. Deleting removes your registration and matching profile straight away. You can also ask to see or correct the information we hold, and you have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).
